Representation of a Bar Mitzvah portion, this passage of the Torah depicts sacrifices of the people to God. These burnt offerings took many forms. Here we see a goat led up the ramp toward the priest, who in turn burned the offering to God. The benevolent hand gestures to give this sacrifice.

The detail at left shows how two patterns can inter-relate: the pattern of glass pieces and the pattern of colors within the glass. Together they can convey movement, in this case the ceaseless movement of the flame.
